How Successful Brands Connect Through a Pandemic
Day 2, 10:05 AM EST
Consumers are faced with numerous changes as they abandon their day-to-day rituals and take on a new and unfamiliar lifestyle. The establishments they used to frequent are closed to the public. Social gatherings like going to the movies, happy hours, or playdates are out of the question. And many are required to change the way they get together, go to school, get through work, or learn how to adapt to online systems at home. As such, this event shouldn’t be thought of as an opportunity upon which to capitalize. It is important for brands and creators to realize that the way they deal with the current crisis may influence consumers’ opinions of them in the future.
Attend this session to hear how smart brands are harnessing the power of humanity and diversity to offer tangible connections to engage with their consumers. If you are involved in packaging campaigns, operations, marketing or innovation leadership at a brand company, this session is for you!

Hershey Transforms Package Into Canvas to Showcase Talented Female Creatives
Day 2, 10:45 AM EST
Hershey Brazil launched the “HerShe” campaign to celebrate International Women’s Day. The campaign transforms the traditional Hershey milk chocolate package into a celebration of the work of female musicians, illustrators, poets, photographers, florists and other brilliant women.
The packaging included QR codes that linked to the artists work. The campaign boldly changed the Hershey logo for the first time in history.
This campaign exceeded visibility goals for social and digital channels, and succeeded in engaging customers on a new level. Women from across the globe were encouraged to share their work along with the campaign using the hashtag #HerSheGallery. Search interest for the term "Hershey’s" in Brazil grew significantly after the campaign was launched.
The package and campaign are a testament to how brands can succeed in challenging the status quo, leading to unprecedented creativity and innovation. Join us to listen to the compelling story behind how Hershey turned their packaging into an artistic canvas with meaningful purpose.
